Day light ******* and horrible service.
I was sold a R99.00 MTN data sim deal by Mondo telephonically. To my surprise up on delivery i was given 2 simcards instead of 1. When i asked the courier guy he referred me to a number on the delivery slip which is an MTN number. After several attempts to try and cancel the 1 number i eventually made it through and was transfered to Mondo. They promised to cancel the 1 number and ensured me that this will be actioned. A week later i phoned MTN to confirm if indeed the 1 number was canceled only to find that both numbers are still active. I tried to get MTN to have the number cancelled but the agent could not finalize this as he claimed that he was waiting for the reference number from Mondo which never came through. He promised to call back the following morning but never did. I tried phoning in the following day and was put on hold for over 45 minutes. As im not an MTN customer, all these calls are billed. Now i have received an invoice of R268 while i purchased a R99 deal. What kind of a ******* is this??? My 1st experience as an MTN customer is a nightmare...they do not care about the customer...no emphathy or willingness to assist. They do not have a fibre of customer service. Since the introduction of cellphones in the country i have used all other network providers except for MTN and i regret ever trying to associate myself with such a horrible network. I will fight to the bitter end to have myself disassociated with this horrible mediocrity.
