Data taken away and wrong number cancelled by service desk

I call the customer care about 1 month back to cancel a data contract, they cancel the wrong one. I note this to them so they say they reinstated it. 3 reference numbers later I think all is correct... today I get cut off and lose over 7 gigs data on the number they said was reinstated, apparently only reinstated to a prepaid number! Because I call after 5 pm, customer care can't help me and I must call back in the morning. This is their error and now I must do the wor**** They can't call me back, this makes no sense as they are a communications company. Customer care can't call me but I get bombarded with spam calls...? Please explain this to me.
