DATA CONTRACT CANCELLATION NIGHTMARE

Been calling MTN, begging them to cancel my data contract. I was promised it was cancelled. To get through to cancellations department you have to be on the phone for not less than 30 minutes. It this legally allowed? There is no direct no to cancellations, you can do cancellations in their MTN outlets. What is this? This seriously needs to be taken up. I am sure i am not the only person going through this.
