Data Charges
<p>I got a contract with MTN that I pay R249 every month but I decided to top-up with month to month 1G data worth R149. In April cancelled my month to month data and I received an sms conforming that it was cancelled but MTN after 5 month of cancelling the data they still charge me for data that they do not even load onto my SIM. When I called call customer care center they referred me to the data department and said is still under investigation, how long does it take to check on your system, notify account to refund my 5 months data payment and stop deducting from my account???.</p>

We apologize for any inconvenience incurred.
Kindly be advised that we do not pick up any notes on the account for cancellation of the 1GB service in April month, however your Egain reference ***8 attachment reflect the SMS received that this service has been cancelled. However the system reflect that the charges on the account for the 1GB.
The account will be credited for the data self-help service from May to September. We have requested from the back end technicians to check if this service has been removed.
The credit will reflect on the account by Wednesday once reflect the refund will be requested.
