Data and airtime expires

Hi<br> <br> I keep having to buy airtime twice a month. I used to load 1GB of data, then suddenly within that same month, I receive messages that my data will be expiring. I loaded 500MB of data on Saturday 28th November, today(30th November), I am receiving another sms telling me that the 500MB of data I had has expired. On the same weekend, I had R80 of airtime, but I could not make any calls because I apparently had no sufficient airtime.<br> <br> This was raised with MTN previously and they told me my data was disappearing due to applications I was using. Now that the data is obviously being taken by them, what is their excuse?<br> <br> I want to be re-reimbursed, NOW.

Hello BlaqP,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it has caused.

Kindly be advised that the system shows that the internet connections depleted first from your data bundles and then your airtime. Please be advised that besides internet browsing your handset can also generate charges via upgrading and automatic running of data applications. We advise that you avoid having multiple internet pages opened. If you are not using the internet function, you can disable the mobile data function to save your data bundles and airtime from being used up.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Regards,
Ayanda
