data & airtime dissapearing
Good day, I have had so much displeasure with the provider the past weekend. I loaded 300MB & R60 airtime on Friday & when I woke up Saturday morning, I had no data & no airtime. when I called the call center I was told that I had used the data & out of bundle data which depleted my airtime- which I find it absurd as I know that there was no way I would've depleted so much in a couple of hours. I then loaded R30 airtime & I noticed that it kept on fluctuating from R30 to R14 and some cents during the course of the day(even with mobile data switched off)- I called again & I was not given any plausible explanation, every person that I came into contact with told me that it is what it is & because I have no data, it uses my airtime for data(even with mobile data switched off)- but how when I have had my data switched off since my data & airtime miraculously disappeared on Saturday morning?
I would like to have someone who will give me a plausible explanation of what ever that is going on, because as it stands I cant wait for my contract to end with MTN.
I have contract with Telkom mobile & this has never happened.
Regards, Ayanda
Good day Ayanda,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns and affording us the opportunity to address the same. Kindly accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
I am certain that you are looking for what is using the data/airtime. Most smartphones today can provide you with this info. Depending on the device, you will need to go in to data settings or app settings. This will give you a direct answer as to where the data is being used.
Kind regards,
Ishie.
