Dangerous radiation
MTN continues to erect cell phone towers that are dangerous to the health of all people, animals and plants. They do not care about the microwave radiation that has been proved to be unsafe for humans and other forms of life. MTN and pother wireless network providers need to stop harming people in this way.

Kindly note that not all cellphone towers work through microwave technology. We are currently using fibre towers. Towers are also shared amongst other telcos even though the tower may belong to MTN. Before a tower is erected, MTN has to get approval through environmental authorities, health authorities, safety authorities to ensure that it is safe and can be used in an area. Once all criteria is met, only then would ICASA authorize the erection of a tower.

Fibre towers? Well I have not noticed any fibres connecting to my cell phone yet.... Either way, it does not take away from the fact that MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, Telkom, etc are all harming the environment and making people ill by pumping dangerous untested microwave radiation on society. A we all know the safety guidelines were set in 1998 and are a complete joke. If MTN (and others) had any social responsibility they would take account of this rather than just raking in the money and not caring about all the people being harmed, myself included. I have lost my house thanks to MTN and Vodacom because I became so ill I could not longer live in it. Whenever I was away from home I was fine but at home ill, unable to sleep and depressed. Very kind of you to do this to me. I guess maybe the telecomms companies out there have not bothered to even find out what their harmful microwave radiation is doing. The public needs to be educated so we can stand united against this poison that is being foisted on us. Our human right to a safe environment has been removed by money hungry telecoms companies. We can choose how and how much to use our phones but we cannot choose to avoid the more harmful chronic radiation exposure from your base stations.
