I recently received a final notice from MTN that they would be terminating my account and charging me for this due to non-payment. I don't understand how when I have made numerous attempts to contact their customer care and call centres to make arrangements after I had realized that my debit orders had not been going through.

My first communication with MTN in this regard was on the 04 March 2015 and I have email proof where I have informed them that I noticed that my debit orders have not been going through and that i would like to make arrangements. I contacted their call centre on numerous occasions, sent emails and faxes hoping for someone to contact me in this regard, but to no avail. And now they want me to pay over R6000. If I had been contacted to make arrangements, we would not be here... and this is not for the lack of trying on my part. Their call centre is forever \experiencing high call volumes"and they don't respond to email. I will not pay that amount when I have made a gallant effort to contact MTN. I have not used nor owned any Vodacom product for over 13 years because of a similar situation"
Best regards,
