Customer Service (or lack thereof)
After being charged for MTN gamer service for the last 10 months i phoned MTN to get the costs reversed. The MTN representative told me that he needs to request proof of activation (which is great as I've never even heard of it let alone subscribed to it). He told me it would take from 12-24 hours to receive feed back. Over the next 2 weeks i phoned again twice, both times being told that my request would be forwarded to the original representative. No feed back received. I then decided to go to the MTN offices on 14th Ave to sort it out once and for all. On arriving the nice lady at the front desk said she had the same problem and had even had data ****** (good to know MTN are at least consistent in the way they treat their customers and employees). After speaking to another representative she told me that the only thing she could do is put in another request for proof of activation and she will give me feedback within 12-24 hours. Roll on nearly another week and i'm still sat here, with zero feedback from MTN. If MTN concentrated on becoming more customer-centric instead of seemingly concentrating on filling their clients with despair, i doubt there would be a need to **********ly take money from client accounts to increase profit margins!
