Customer disservice seems to be the game here... MTN???

So I started loosing airtime for no apparent reason and decided to call my service provider (MTN 808) to try and find out why. For a long time, they kept on telling me that I may have inadvertently subscribed to GamerPlus while browsing the internet. I explained that I had not browsed the internet in a long time much-less subscribed to anything. The consultant said the subscription was third party and they couldn't do anything about the charges, but she would cancel the service for me and I should not recharge airtime for the next 24hrs, or else the subscription would be re-instituted again. very weird. This has been happening since August 2016, and I make regular 808 calls to have the matter stopped, to have my previous calls escalated, to complain officially and directly about the continued third party subscription occurrences. MTN and their 808 supervisors and their 808 consultant are either *********** at their duties, or incapable of executing their tasks to resolve customer problems. The most recent of these occurrences was in 2018, sies!, and since then I've spoken to 7 consultants, who confirm the third party charges by GamerPlus and who are happy to cancel the subscription for me but cannot tell me how I could have subscribed since they also confirm my last internet session was 26 Nov. 2016... So I've asked for supervisors to call me back and I'm still waiting. The last consultant, Thandolwethu, based in JHB, assured me, before hanging up on me, that her supervisor Kgotso, would call. The fact that she took almost 20 minutes to get back to me about her supervisor who was not on the floor and could not come to the phone is secondary, what is primary and which I am sure of is that I will not get a call back from an MTN supervisor, it would be out of character for them to care that much. The second issue are the scores of MTN (808) *********** employees, their absent layers of supervisors and managers, their unhelpful processes and customer communication lines as well as abusive customer service consultant. Yes, MTN is incapable of providing a service equal to their promise, that's common from most big corporates... right? But have the decency to invest in after sales services to address your inbred ineptitude. MTN's response to after sales customer service is to put, to say the least, seemingly untrained consultants on the floor to assist their "pay-through-the-nose-customers" and supplement that with a layer of supervisors who are never on the floor and cannot or don't call customers back and then atop that layer with an automated complaints@mtn email in case you are not satisfied hitting your little customer head on every pillar and post between billing cycles... because we have to pay for it all, don't we... we just keep them in business.

MTN get your service consultants well supported and trained - the willing ones - or else just don't promise and therefore don't make customers pay for any level of customer service, get out of the game man!
