Credit Limit” Apparently Means “Surprise Monthly Bills
Was sold a contract based on an “available credit limit” of so much Rands — which, according to MTN after the fact, does not mean available credit to cover the contract… it just means how much debt you’re allowed to take on.
Quality Assurance confirmed the agent explained it poorly. Their solution? “Sorry about that. We’ll coach the agent. You still pay.”
So to summarise: • Miscommunication acknowledged. • Financial impact on customer ignored. • Ticket closed.
Apparently internal coaching fixes my bank balance too. Who knew?
