Contract sim swap

I got hijacked last Friday and along with the car, my phones, I.D, driver's license and other belongings were taken. Naturally when I got helped I called MTN to block my number. It is a contract number so I had to go to the store to make a new sim card. This happens to be main number that is linked to everything of mine, I have been using this number for over a decade now. I have now been to 3 different stores with my passport,temporary I.D and affidavit stating what happened along with the case number for the incident, and none of them could assist me. I even called the customer care and all I was told is that I need an I.D for this. This is a contract sim card. I have identification with me, Tell me way I cannot be assisted. The same number is the number which the DHA will send an sms on when my new I.D is ready. It's is very fraustrating when every month they debit without fail yet there is no procedure to assist customers in emergencies such as mine. The amount of inconvenience you guys are causing is too much. My loyalty to MTN ends today.
