I received a call from an MTN consultant to tell me that i will be receiving two free phones I have been paying every month for my airtime contract that i have with them. my loyalty to the network has rewarded me two free phones. I continued to ask the consultant if i will still be paying the same amount (being for the airtime contract) and he said yes. I repeatedly asked the consultant if the phones are surely for free. the consultant said i will be getting the phones for free. He confirmed my details and surely the phones were delivered. a month after the delivery i receive an sms from my bank to inform me that a debit order of more than R500 has gone off my account and the ref was MTN. I was surprised because i only pay R75 for my airtime contract. When i called MTN to ask why this has happened, they told me I have a contract for the two phones. I informed that I have not agreed to such and i was informed to report a ***** case. i sent in my documents on the 20/01/2016. i received confirmation from one of the consultants that my documents have been forwarded to the relevant consultant but have not received any communication about the status of my case, instead one for payment.
Best regards,
