Contract Request not Honored

<p>I used to be a Altech Autopage customer but was changed over to MTN last year when Altech Autopage closed down. This was the start of all my headaches. Firstly the MTN statement makes no sense and is unnecessarily complicated to read. Soon after being on the new MTN contract, I did work in one of the neighbouring countries and was charged more than my contract value that month. When I inquired, I was told I have a credit limit, which I requested to be cancelled immediately. Again I went to work outside the country in November and got a hefty December bill 3 times my normal monthly installment. I went to inquire and although the service agent picked up on the system that I previously requested for all credit limits to be cancelled and my request was done, apparently it doesn't apply outside South Africa. I got another hefty January bill and decided to simply cancel my contract with MTN. The roaming calls I was charged for was for calls that went straight to voicemail. I wasn't even sent a notification that I'm approaching my credit limit, which I wasn't supposed to have anyway since I've previously requested for this to be cancelled. I still wonder how cancellation of the credit limit request could not apply outside South Africa. Anyway, I believe I'll be better off now without an MTN contract, there are other better suppliers out there </p>
