Contract phone from MTN not being repaired after 8 months reported

I took a cellphone contract at MTN store (Cellcom) Ermelo Shop4 at 59 Church street on the 4th June 2019 and this year (2020) during lock down level 5 the phone (iphone 7) just stopped working. I reported the matter at during level 5 of lockdown but they refused to take the phone for repairs saying they are still on lockdown. I kept going back and forth with them until i threatened them that I'd take further steps, that is when they took the phone 8th of June 2020. I've been paying the phone for 8 months but without a cellphone or any feedback from the shop. I advise anyone who was thinking of joining MTN not to as I also am planning to cancel their contract after I've paid of the current contract
