Contract early termination

I had a contract with mtn that I wished to cancel it, so it was an early cancelation and I had to pay the fee for early cancelation. So I went and paid that amount that they requested me to pay and called back and they allocated that amount and that contract was never canceled and that money I paid went off like that. I called asking why the contract was not canceled they came up with stories and they said I should pay another early cancelation fee again because they did not cancel my contract at first. I called customer care again some time last week and the lady told me if you pay the early cancelation fee the contract should be canceled immediately. Right now am pay more than R1000 for my contract, I am very not happy with the service MTN is giving me to think I have been with MTN for more than a decade yoh...
