Contract dispute with MTN (dealer code: 267276)

I took an additional contract with MTN Neslpruit retail: 267276 in August 2018 and while I was on my way home I received a call requesting that I should return the item as it was reserved for a client and is currently in the shop for collection and then I requested to returned it the followiing day as I was almost half way home. The following day as requested by the sales personnel I was at the shop to handover the Macbook and there was no clearance paperwork done or given back as confirmation that the items were indeed received back at the shop a day after being issued in August 2018 and I was told that there is no need for paperwork since the router was not activated as you can see from the contract that it was printed late before the closing @ 18h00.

To my surprise in March 2019, almost 8 month after returning the items, I received a bill for R 599,00 and I was really confused because all I knew is what they told me when returning the items. Honestly for me it was strange to receive a bill after so long. I then decided to settle the bill, but to my surprise, it came with interests of which to date I'm struggling to copy with.

I then call 135 to established the reasons why the account has been activated after so long even though they have received the item back, but I was told that I have to approach the shop in question as they are not in a position to assist me. I the Approached the shop where I met Mr Vusi Mgwenya whom I explained my concern and he sympathize with me as if he understood my pain, but nothing happened although I made several attempts to get the clarity on the matter. Mr. Mgwenya he later escalate the matter to the Regional Manager, Mr Gabusi and I also made some few effort trying to do follow up but after some months of trying we final spoke tellephonically and he vow to resolve the matter once he's back from leave. I then waited on him, but nothing positive came through from him.

In early January 2020, Mr Gabusi he revert back to me demanding a clearance letter that confirms that indeed I did returned the items before he can assist me and my response to him was that I was not given any paperwork, therefore I am unable to furnished him with such document, he then hang up and I was left alone as the burden of paying for something that I don't even have.

I then decided to call 135 as usual seeking assistance but I was told told that the sim card is currently blocked and the only option I have is to do a sim swap and I refused several times because I believe and I still believe that justice ought to prevail because I am not paying for a sim card but I am currently paying for a Laptop and a Router not a sim.

It is in this regard that I request a review of the decision taken by the ***** Department on the above matter and come up with a solution that will make both parties have a solution.
