Contract cancelled but still charging me monthly

More than 7 months ago I reported on Hellopeter a ********** contract renewal, for cellphone number *** on account number A***5. I did receive a notification that the contract would be cancelled and that I would be refunded all the amounts charged. On 31 October my statement did show a credit of R2073-10, but at the same time the monthly charge of R530-50 was put through.

This charge has continued for the last 7 months. I have 3 times spoken to the Norwood MTN branch, who have tried to help me, and who have confirmed that the ********** contract has been cancelled on their system. Yet they cannot stop the charges continuing to go through monthly.

I am now owed R3713-50, and in a few days time this will increase to R4244-00. Please can someone assist me to stop this monthly charge going through and to halt further charges for this canceled contract.

Yours faithfully
Adrian Chiger
Hello arc123,

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Kindly note the number in question only expired on the 17th of January 2016. All invoices generated up until the 21st of January 2016 were valid invoices.

As confirmed the ********** upgrade was cancelled and the account was credited accordingly with R2523.86 on the 21st of January 2016. The only credit due on the account is R530.50 for the invoice dated the 21st of February 2016.

This credit will be captured and sent for approval as we've now migrated the number over to prepaid, essentially with the contract being cancelled.

Regards
Tim

Dear Tim It is now May 2016, and I am STILL being charged monthly for the same cancelled contract, and with no credit entered against my account. Monthly visits to MTN Eastgate and Norwood draw a blank response, as they cannot help or can they understand how I continue being charged for a cancelled contract. I do not seem to be getting anywhere - how do I escalate this to someone who can actually help? And who can authorise the correct credit to my account? Yours faithfully Adrian Chiger
