CONTRACT ACTIVATION STILL NOT DONE AFTER 2 WEEKS
Hi, I recently app**** for a data contract (50gb for r299 pm) during the black Friday period. Firstly I only received an sms to say my application was approved over a week (8 days) after I app**** for it. The lady that assisted me with my application at the pavilion branch in Durban contacted me promptly to confirm this and ask if she could go ahead with the activation, which I appreciated out of relief that the wait is over.
Then, the real frustration starts. She called to notify me that there was an issue activating it and said it's a System error which mtn is aware of and she will contact me to let me know what's going on. Now a ton of calls to mtn and 2 weeks later it is still not sorted out. I use alot of data on this network and waiting on mtn to do a simple activation has cost me over r500 in these 2 weeks. Still, no one from mtn can tell me how much longer it will take till it's sorted out so I must wait indefinitely and waste more money on an issue that is of mtn' s doing.
Whatever the issue is, a 2 week + waiting period is unacceptable. I am eager to see what's done about this and how much longer it takes till mtn decides to address my complaint. What a waste of a network to be spending ridiculous amounts of cash on every month.
