My number is ********** 225. My contract with MTN ended a few months ago (around June 2016), and I am due for an upgrade.

In August 2016, a ********** upgrade was done on my account. I got an affidavit from the police and opened a ***** enquiry with MTN. More than two months later, the issue was resolved.

Last Friday, the 6th of January 2017, I received an SMS that my "upgrade" was successful. Once again, this is ********** (I did not request nor authorize any upgrade), and I would like to ask MTN to deal with this issue decisively once and for all.

This time, I shall not go to the police for an affidavit. I shall not go through that lengthy process again. I expect MTN to cancel this ********** contract with immediate effect. This is because I believe this is an inside job.

I have never lost my ID, so this is not a case of identity theft. I've even checked with the credit bureau and my credit record is fine, and no other ********** accounts have been opened. Whoever keeps getting a phone under my name, knows that I am due for an upgrade. Only an MTN employee would know that.

Before my contract ended, I would get endless calls from MTN, asking me to upgrade my phone. Each time, I'd tell them I wasn't yet ready for an upgrade. Just a few weeks after my contract ended, suddenly the whole world knows about it and are taking their chances using my ID number? It doesn't add up. In fact, it does; MTN employees are involved.

Best regards,
I decided to submit the documents last Friday the 13th of January 2017 via the customer care email address. My reference is: # ********** 8
Please sort this out soon. A successful outcome will: 1) Be speedy, 2) Get the ********** contract cancelled, 3) Get the responsible MTN employee who keeps selling my information revealed and fired, 4) Have a written guarantee that this will never happen again.
Anything less than this will render the matter unresolved.
