Content Services Subscription Without Consent

Last week I received an SMS saying welcome that I subscribed to a video service for R15 per day. Initially I thought this was a phishing attempt, because I did not subscribe to any content service. In fact, I NEVER subscribe to any mobile content services. This morning I woke up to 4 sms's each welcoming me to their subscription, some charging R7 per day, and others charging R15 per day. I immediately phoned MTN, whom confirmed I was subscribed to content services. They said I should cancel the subscription using *141*5#, and then selecting option 4. When I did this, it showed I was subscribed to 7 services, each charging either R7 and R15 per day! I told the MTN agent to make a note on the system that I NEVER want to be subscribed to any services, and she simply rep**** that it will not help. I told the agent it is ***** when I am subscribed to content services without my consent. She just said that I should phone the content service provider. Each content service I cancelled had a phone number on the message. I phoned every number, and I either get a "The phone number you have dialed does not exist", or "The phone number you have entered is incorrect". a few hours later I went to *141*5# again to check if any subscriptions popped up again, and I then get a request to subscribe to some SASHA content for R50 per week, which I have to cancel to get out. MTN is de*****ing customers by subscribing customers to ridiculously expensive content services without consent, which you have to constantly OPT-out of. I have been a loyal MTN subscriber for over 15 years, and I was never so sure to leave MTN as I am now.
