Contact not as sold

I upgraded a package from TOP-UP100 to TOP-UP data 1+1Gig special that was advertised, this also reflects on my contract. I the received a bill for data switch packets in March that I found strange and started to inquire. several calls and tickets logged namely (***6 and ***1) whereby Constance Rogers informed me that the package is no longer a TOP-Up and change to what or how ever they wanted to make money on (charged out-of-bundle).<br> I need MTN to please rectify this and to compensate me for all the additional charges.

Hello Standerw,

Thank you for your post.

We apologize for the delayed response and for any inconvenience incurred.

The previous package on Top up.

We do pick up that you have done the upgrade in March month. The usage limit has been set up only 7-5-2015. The charges accured while the pacakge has been on open package for the 1GB, the package only changed to Top Up from the 7-5-2015 when the usage limit has been set up.

The account has been billed from the 10-4-2015, the 1GB received for the month has been used up.

We do require an reference number when you have visited the store to assist you with the upgrade and the request that the contract should be on Top up. If you have the reference number we can then credit the account for you.

We have sent the request to the billing department to validate the charges for the extra internet usage before the usage limit has been set up. The uprade done with Cosmonet. The ref: REQ:***. Allow +-10 working days for this to be resolved.

Kind Regards,

Alice van der Merwe
