Consumer care = consumer indifference

Yesterday someone alerted me to the facct that my voicemail message says “this number does not exist”. I phoned the customer care number no fewer than four times, getting different advice each time and in some cases, the advice was useless. One person told me to call a number that did not exist; the other told me to call 100 but I kept on getting a message saying that I needed to set up my mail box by calling 141. 142 had no option for mailboxes. I eventually was told to call the tech support at 1555, to no avail. Eventually the problem was escalated and I was given a reference number, which I quote here:ref SMC/ ********** 9720. This is not the first time that I have experienced problems with the MTN call centre.
