MTN sells a service that is supposed to enable me to make and finish phone calls.

The company has patently failed at this task.

I cannot finish a phone call of more than a few minutes without re-dialing once or twice.

I cannot drive on the highway from Midrand to Modderfontein without losing the call 3 times.

I cannot drive to Swaziland on business and make business calls during the 3-4 hour trip because I'm constantly embarrassed by having to re-dial the client or ask them to repeat themselves because their or my voices have become garbled.

This is not a problem that occurs infrequently. What prompted this complaint was that I dialed a client in Pretoria and lost the call twice before reverting to Telkom, the new darling of connectivity.

It's pathetic and an insult that a company that makes a fortune from its customers (not least from ******ionate data rates) cannot build a network in Johannesburg that can help its customers get their work done, without extreme frustration on a daily basis.
