On 1 June 2016, i received an sms notifying me that an amount of R584 has been deducted by MTN SA. I called my bank to reverse the fund as I do not have any account with MTN and the funds were reversed and they advised that I should call MTN about this so that they can give me a reference number to stop the debit order. I called MTN immediately and they said I must give them my certified ID copy and affidavit from the police station. I did that and sent them all the copies as requested. I made follow-up after two weeks to get the reference number there were still no and now someone is saying I should open the case. When I went to the police statation to open the case they said, it is MTN that should open the case since they have all the documents submitted to them by the applicant and not me because i have nothing except that my money is being deducted. I told them and they said the matter is with their ***** department and i told them that i will not tolerate another debit order for something that i reported. Comes end of June another debit order went and now it was R1100 i informed them and also escalated to my lawyers of which they send a demand email and to stop and there was still nothing done about it. Comes end of July another amount of R1700 was deducted and my lawyer this time sent a letter of demand and there still nothing. I'm really tired of MTN beign ******** and only caring about the cash coming in to them whether through ***** or not, they do not care.
