I had a contract for a wifi router, taken out about 2 years ago. In april MTN called me to tell me the contract has expired amd i need to upgrade. I told them i want to cancel the contract because i ont use it anymore. 2 days later my wifi stopped working, so i figured that was the end of it. But in May i was debited agian. I thought maybe i was a month behind on payments or something, so i left it. This morning i was debited again. I called in, only to be told i have to tell them to cancel the contract, otherwise it just keeps running. SO not only am i still paying for something i asked to be cancelled, i'm still paying the whole fee, not just for the data. I asked for a refund, the guy tells me then i have to wait until the 20th to cancel the contract. So i asked him to cancel the contract, otherwise i'll get billed again and the cycle continues. Afterwards i had to speak to the accounts department, who told me i cant get a refund because i forfeited the data by cancelling the account???? Firstly, how am i supposed to know that I have to call MTN to cancel AFTER MTN CALLED ME telling me the contract has expired. Secondly, nobody told me that i wouldn't be able to get a refund should i cancel the account with data remaining. This is totally unacceptable. The account has been closed, all i wanted was my money back. HORRIBLE service. I will cancel my phone contract too, i dont need to deal with this ******* too.

Best regards,
I will not accept that explanation Mike.
1) I didn't lnow that i had to tell you to stop charging me.
2) I signed a 24 month contract. I don't remember that i gave you permission to keep charging me for something im not using. If i did, please feel free to show me the proof.
3) Your call center agent said you can't just cut stop a debit because you wont know if it's a business account or not. I will not accept that.
4) When i asked to cancel the contract, NOBODY told me that i would forfeit the refund if i closed the account.
5) I don't see why i cant be refunded or the data sent to me phone if i didn't use it at all.
6) Now that the number is on prepaid, my phone bill is still over R700. Please correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't remember my cellphone contract being R800 a month?

Chane'
