Charging me full subscription fee for upgrading 2 months in advance

I requested to do an early upgrade on my account and because I have been a loyal customer for so many years, they said that it would be fine. However, they wanted me to pay full amount for 2 months and I lose all data, airtime etc for those two months. Surely this is a breach of the consumer protection act as I am paying for services I did not receive. I should only have to pay for the handset portion of my monthly fees for the next two months.

Thank you for your post

We apologize for the delayed response and for any inconvenience incurred.

Please be advised that all customers who are in month 21 or more of their current contract will be eligible for an upgrade evaluation. When your early upgrade request was approved, the actual period served on the 24 months contract term was 19 months which is why you had to pay the R1038 for the 2 months subscription fees.

Rest assured it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo
