Charging me double and suspending service

I have recently (not even a month as yet) taken out the uncapped internet package with MTN.

Firstly I had tried to place my order online multiple times and when I scheduled time with a consultant to complete the application (as I had to wait for my paydate as you need to pay up front pro-rata and the next months bill) I never get a call back.

However, with saying this the last consultant I spoke to had said that all that I need to pay is the pro-rata as well as for the next months bill as it is a month to month contract. Which also reflex when you are processing the order on the website so I fully understood how much I was going to be charged upfront. There was no mention of any other additional fees or that I would need to pay for a sim card as well.

With this information I had gone into an MTN branch and took out my package as I was told it would be the same price as online. I was told that I will be billed on the 4th and it will be explained to me which never happened.

After that I was told that I would need to pay around R500 that day.

The package I took was for R249 a month and I had to pay R305.22 which I assumed was for the pro-rata amount as well as my next months account. In addition to this the consultant asked me if I had an MTN sim card already and when I said no she told me I had to pay an additional R150 for a sim card which in total I had spent R455.22.

Since the 4th MTN has been trying to debit my account and I have been receiving multiple sms of up to 4 attempts in a day. And that I would need to pay R260 as it was declined.

Please explain to me how is that I paid a pro-rata fee, paid for a full months bill, had to pay for a sim card and now I have to pay a further R260 due to a declined payment which I don't understand at all. Now I am greylisted with MTN and have no internet access.
