Charged for a data card but doesn't have a computer

My mom is a pensioner and her contract came to an end and opted for a R99 a month plan. The past couple of months we have noticed that she is paying R248 a month. We went to a MTN store where they informed her that she is paying for a data package that she wasn't aware of. We were told to call retentions but received no joy. Why do we have stores if they can't assist with these type of problems (MTN Mall@Reds, Centurion) Out of frustration I am now writing a review on HelloPeter in the hope that someone will call and assist my mom with her problem as she is a pensioner and cant afford the additional expense.
