Charged for a contract I don't have!
At the beginning of May I changed my internet package from Uncapped Lite, to the R99 per month for 2GB plan. The amount I am charged per month has dramatically increased, however. On calling MTN I was informed that when I upgraded that contract I took a tablet!!! I did not take any device on that contract, I merely changed the plan to something cheaper! Now I am informed that I must provide proof of purchase to prove I did not take a tablet.

I object to this on a number of levels: These are documents that are in the hands of MTN themselves! And how do I prove the ABSENCE of something?! The person at the call centre could provide no further advice. I am now left with the only option of travelling to the branch in Grahamstown, at my own expense as I am not there anymore, to get assistance, and I now have two months' worth of bounced debit orders to pay bank charges for as I was charged more than I had budgeted for.

Now what, MTN?
Thank you for your post.
We are sorry to have disappointed you with our service and would like to assure you that we do strive to provide the best service at all times.
Unfortunately we do not have access to the documents, kindly refer back to the store where the upgrade was done as they will be able to provide you with a copy of the contract which you signed.
Once again please accept our apologies for the lapse in service.
Kind regards
