Charge for goods in warranty
Good morning.

I have recently booked in a Samsung P5220 on the 14/01/2015 for a charging fault. Yesterday I received a SMS saying that there will be an out of warranty charge for the repair as the battery is faulty.

As it was explained to me it that all the accessories and external extras carry a 6 month warranty, and that is fine, but the tablet is a solid unit and that has a 2 year warranty with MTN, it works the same policy as their mobile phones that also do not have an external/removable batteries. If it was the charger then I will replace it myself, but the repair center has confirmed it is the battery and that it is not a liquid damage.

Because it is out of 6 months I am not intending to rely on a warranty assessment, but the tablet has a 2 year warranty on the device of which MTN will repair any technical fault unless it is a physical damage.

Please advise.
