Charge for a repair and Bad Service.

i went to the Carlton Centre branch yesterday to book in my faulty handset, upon my arrival, staff members did not care why i was there, 4 of them were busy chit catting while i stood there like a fool reminiscing about the strike talking so loud, i decided to talk to them since none of them cared, i told the one lady in there to book the phone in for repairs without checking any documents or the phone its self i get asked where did i buy the phone?i must take it to the store i bought it, i explained the phone was bought at a Parktown branch which is now closed then i get told i must bring back the charger, battery and the box and pay R360 for the phone to be repaired.

none of them could explain why am i being charged for a phone that is faulty and still paying my contract for it no one could explain all they said was its process since november 2014.

my question is why must i pay for a repair while my contract is still active?when MTN decided to put these process who did they communicate it to? no one bothered to check anything, the phone or documents i had, the attitude of the staff was filthy bad,i phoned the call centre hoping to get clarity but i got no help.
BAD SERVICE MTN!!
