Change over from Altech Autopage to MTN
As Altech closed and I am an MTN user, my contract was trf directly to MTN. I have been with Autopage for over 25 years and NEVER had a problem.
Change over was on the Thurs before Easter (24 March 2016). For the entire Easter weekend I was unable to send any sms, use whatsapp, use the internet, receive emails, etc. Only able to make phone calls.
On Tues 29 March 2016 I phoned MTN to find out what was happening, and was told that my contract is only for talk time. I dont have a copy of my contract from Autopage, and unable to give them the specific details. After over 5 hours on the phone to MTN, speaking to Customer Care, Technical and marketing (approx 8 people in total over the period of time), I gave up.
MTN did on 29 March send a request to Autopage for a copy of my contract.
To be able to use those capabilities, I purchased an sms-bundle, and databundle that will both be added to my existing account at the end of month. I do realise that the databundle with my package is not always sufficient, and then buy top up.
I phoned again this morning: STILL no resolution. ANOTHER request was sent. Another month will pass where I pay additional for capabilities that already exist
