Cellphone not returned from Cape Town workshop

My name is Mandisa Mchako and I sent my Blackberry 9720 with imei number *** for repairs under warranty and was informed that it was affected by water and they returning it and that was 4 weeks from today and I am without the handset and would like to know whether how is my contract going to be calculated after this period without my phone. The insurance wanted to fix my phone but said mtn must first give me the phone and the insurance was obtained from mtn. I do make use of the sim card with airtime but doesn't make use of BIS and the handset and the phone was given to Vredenburg MTN at Ipic Centre and never came back due to MTN strike.

Hello comrade,

Thank you for your post.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

Kindly be advised that you were offered a quote of R1680.00 to have the device swopped out however you disputed the liquid damage. The quote was since rejected and you are now liable to make a payment of R330.00 for the service charge before the handset can be returned to the store - URB Cellular Vredenburg.

Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you

Warm Regards
Zelephi
