Cellphone Contract Cannot Be Cancelled

My business contract with MTN ended in March. I have since attempted to cancel the contract and migrate the number to prepaid. I first contacted the call centre but received no documents as promised. I then went to Clearwater Mall where after waiting an hour I was told to complete a company letterhead confirmation and bring my ID document. I did this and then gave the documents to the lady and was told that in 7 working days it would be done. I waited until month end and went back. After waiting 45min I was told the documents are nowhere to be found and nothing was sent through. I then had to create the documents again and could send them myself to MTN via email. I received a reference number and waited until month end. I went back to the shop and after waiting another hour i was told they cant help and they cant get through to the call centre and that i will have to wait until my contract is cancelled at some point. Apparently a strike is causing problems. I am now paying for a contract for 3 months because MTN cannot cancel it. I will be cancelling ALL my business contracts with MTN now. My next step is the Ombudsman.
