CELLPHONE CLAIM DISPUTE

I opened a cell phone contract with MTN in Centurion Branch in May 2014.
I completed the Callsure Insurance forms with the aim of insuring my cell phone that I took with MTN,
o I gave mandate for them to collect monthly premiums but they didn't. I gave them all correct information including correct bank account number where they should run the debit order on a monthly basis (as attached).
o Due to error on the insurer, incorrect bank account was loaded by them and I was under the impression that the debit orders were running as I gave mandate.
o They failed to inform me about any errors they encountered after discovering that they have wrong account numbers.
On the 23rd January 2015, I took the phone back to MTN due to the fault that it had, MTN advised me to pay R583.00 towards damages/faults. I decided to call my cell phone insurer with the purpose of claiming from them. The insurer told me that my policy with them has been cancelled, the reason being the invalid bank account, I was not aware of that policy has been cancelled either, in which I have provided them with correct account numbers (attached).

Hello W Nkomo,

Thank you for your post,

We apologise for the delayed response and for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Unfortunately MTN does not have sight of your policy details as the insurance was taken with a third part provider. In order for this matter to be resolved, you will need to liaise with Callsure directly.

Thank you
