Cell phone contract and R50,000 due

I am very disappointed with mtn. I used to have a contract with mtn but when I was left with four months in my contract , on e of their "clever" staff member dicided to sell my documenattion to somebody to go and take 2 extra phone whith the amount R2500 each.

One month, I remember mtn debited me R10,000 which i went to the bank to reverse. I reported this thing to them and I was told to go to the nearest police station and open the case and have an affidavit send to the mtn shop where I had opened my contract.

Now, i am being called by debt collectors and they are saying that i am owing mtn R50 000. When I am calling the shop that I submitted my affidavit to, i am told that I was suppose to cancel the contract. MTN did not upadate me with my complain and they are saying they sent updates to sim card that they suspend after i reported the faud on my account.

I wish MTN can give the following:

1. The deatils of the person who took these two phones using my account

2. The deatils of the consultent who assisted him or her to talk these phone and

3. The amount that I am owing minus the amount of the phones that I did not take

Hi Siphumezo,

Can you contact me directly?. I don't want to be blacklisted because of this thing. The records clearly indicate what happened. I never failed to pay my account. I knew all along that I did'nt finish paying but what has been confussing me is the amount of more R50 000 that your debt collectors are asking from me when I know exactly that I was only left with 6 months to finish paying.

If this account can not be retrieved back to mtn for me to finish paying, those debt collectors must be given the correct amount that I am owing. The one you mention above. I am told that they charge their some percentage but still it can not be more than R50 000 from R10 000 that you mentioned here.

Please, give me a call on ********** or send an email to **********

The other thing is that no body from mtn contacted me with this issue. I was told that I must open a case of ***** and submit the affidavit to the nearest mtn store. Unfortunatly no upadte was given to me.

Please, i was close this issue.
