I want to voice my concerns about MTN's service, or rather its lack thereof. I've sent a ton of emails and placed a ton of calls to have my account straightened out. I was really concerned when I received more than 30 OPT texts on the 22nd of March 2024, so I called MTN to let them know what was going on because I thought they might be ****mers. To my dismay, they told me not to return calls in case the alleged ****mer asked for the OPT. Once more, on the 25th of March 2024 , I received multiple texts pertaining to OPT. Shortly after, I got a text concerning my bill calculation, which read, "Your new bill limit for *** has been automatically set R7434." I called MTN right away since I had a suspicion. I called Yandisa, the first consultant I spoke with, but she was so useless and wouldn't tell me their last name that I ended the call since I thought there might be a syndicate at work. After asking for the ***** number, I spoke with Sintle, the second consultant I phoned, and she gave it to me—***. I then made the decision to visit the closest MTN store in Bluff Towers Mall (Durban) and asked them to print an invoice. To my astonishment, someone by the name of Nosabatha Bhengu ordered an iPhone 15 pro MAX on March 25, 2024, using my contact details and identity number. I've been a loyal client of MTN for more than 15 years, and I'm shocked at how negligent the company has become. Despite this, ***** continues to occur on my account, and no one is willing to help. I have filed a case at my local police station and would like this matter to be handled immediately. I will not pay for an account that is used by employees who prey on clients; I would much rather see the account deleted and this situation thoroughly probed. Reaching a consultant is really challenging because they constantly advised that they are transferring you the "relevant department.
