Cant open contract to handset being out of stock... indefinitely???

I am trying to open a new contract (additional phpne) added to my current business contract. I went to Middelburg mall yesterday and selected the iphone 7 plus option. I was told that they do not have any in stock and they do not know how many they will receive and they have a waiting list. At the same time I am told that I can not sumit my application as there is no iphone 7 plus in store and they are unable to order me one. Not sure what your policy is at MTN but I find the explanation rediculous. I do not want to move to another provider, but feel very disappointed in the service I received.
