Cannot block a ****** phone because MTN ignores me

My phone was ****** on the evening of 15 Dec. <br> I went and made a sworn affidavit at the police station after the public holiday on 17 Dec.<br> I then went to MTN to go about getting my number back and blocking the ****** phone.<br> <br> MTN gave me a form that I had to FAX to their office. The form requires a case number from the police.<br> I called the police station and they are adamant that the phone must already be blocked, and I must have a reference from MTN, before I can have a case number. <br> <br> I faxed the form to MTN on 17 Dec, leaving the case number blank, and I have had zero acknowledgment or response. My fax confirmation came through, so they definitely did get it. If I call the call centre I wait for 40 minutes for someone to tell me that they can't help me and I must fax that form to that number. <br> <br> I can't claim insurance until MTN gets their act together. I have an affidavit, but I won't get a case number until MTN actually bothers to block the phone and sends me a reference number. I'm trapped. It's ridiculous.
