Cancelling an MTN Contract is a struggle!

Why is it so difficult to cancel a contract with MTN? I phoned the helpline and waited 10 minutes before someone picked up and then after giving the number to cancel, they transferred my call, saying they don't have access to my number on the system. I have now waited another few minutes on the line, with no one else picking up. This is awfull. Why not just have a place where you can login and cancel the account yourself?

Please assist in cancelling *** as it has run it's 24 month period.
