cancelling a data contract

I agreed to a R59 a month data contract. A month later I decided I want to cancel it and emailed mtn about doing this. I just want to cancel the contract asap but it seems to be a bit of a mission trying to do this. I don't have time to call and be put on hold as I finish work late everyday. How else do I cancel this contract as I haven't gotten any of the data that I paid for and I am on prepaid.

There are no active contracts on the accounts linked to the ID and cellphone number provided, the upgrade request was cancelled on 2015-10-06 and the number was migrated to prepaid on 2015-10-09.
