Cancelled contract, still paying 3 months later.
I did my upgrade in December last year, and received an Acer laptop and modem with 500mb data. The next day I took the laptop back due a damaged LCD screen. After having to take photo's of the problem and emailing them to the branch, MTN took the laptop in and said they will keep me posted. Acer could not be contacted by phone and the only communication method was Email. A Day later I had to email photos again as the person at Acer could not see the problem. Eventually I was told that it would be picked up at the branch for repairs, after my 7 day return policy expired. Weeks passed, and somehow the laptop went missing at Acer. After almost a month MTN had no answer to where or what was happening with the repairs. I then decided to stop my contract, and handed in all the relevant documents. I was told that it would be stopped immediately. Since then the Paarl Mall branch closed down, and the employees are now helping out at Zevenwacht Mall. Also still no reply. 3 Months later and I'm still paying the contract in full with number still active and data. MTN took my simcard in January at the cancellation. No laptop, no simcard... 3 months, feeling helpless.
