Cancellation/Upgrading of Contract Struggles(PILLAR TO POST)

Good day,

On the 16th of September 2016 I received a call from an MTN agent, telling me my contract was due for an upgrade. For which I agreed to upgrade and everything was done and confirmed telephonically. On the 17th of September I called asking them to change the phone as my daughter wanted a Huawei P9 not a P8, I was told I had to cancel and start from scratch. I did that, little did I know that it was the start of the NIGHTMARE!!

Two days later I went to Mall @ Carnival store to upgrade, to my suprise I was told that I can't upgrade as I have already upgraded. The store assistant( Masesi) called the call centre to ask them why they haven't cancelled and no concrete answer was given. Masesi has been so helpful but always hits a dead end. The call centre agent said I have to complete a cancellation form, for which I did. A week later I went back to the store to do a follow up, and to my suprise nothing was done, now they told Masesi I need to call the call centre myself. For which I did, explaining my story over and over a thousand times, no one could assist me they've been telling me to call the MTN toll free numbers but no one seemed to be competent enough to assist . It's either they don't know what's happening or they hang up pretending they cant hear you. Its even worse when you call after 4pm, you get impatient, arrogant and *********** people Iike Pamela, Nicolette and Manelisi to name a few . It looks as if MTN does not have supervisors or managers that assist should their agents fail or do follow ups.

Whats worse is 3 months later my daughter still doesn't have a phone, but they changed my package and have been debiting my account with the new amount since September.

This is by far the WORST service I have received in my life. MTN people are so ***********, unprofessional, inefficeint, unreliable and and ...

Aggrieved and annoyed client,

Petunia Mahlangu

******2479
