Cancellation process for a contract is a nightmare

Cancellation of a contract at the end of contract duration is a nightmare. Does MTN have any idea what customer service actually is? This is after the contract duration is over.

Other networks are all online and communication is done swiftly, MTN is so backwards. I am on hold with 135, cancellations department for almost an hour.

Ive been a loyal customer for over 16 years now. Time that I part ways with MTN.

I am still waiting for MTN to contact me. No response. I cannot wait on the phone for over an hour!

I reiterate, my contract duration is now over. I simply want to move onto prepaid, I do not want to pay for a phone that is already paid for indefinitely!!! I want my number to be switched to prepaid. I do not want to wait for call centers for over an hour. When it comes to upgrades, you guys hound me and call 4-5 times a day.

The Consumer Protection Act is very clear. You should not automatically continue on a contract without my permission. You do not have my permission! I have emailed, multiple times, tried calling multiple times. I simply want my elapsed contract to revert back to prepaid!

Why is this so hard? Why must I go through all these hurdles to do something that should be automatic??

MTN, please respond???
Either to my numerous calls, emails or helloPeter reviews.

I have a very sour taste with MTN customer support. This process is truly frustrating, it's the equivalent of trying to get blood out of a rock.

FYI, waiting for an hour plus, and still not speaking to an operator is not ok. I've tried requesting online callbacks, still waiting.
