Cancellation of my contract
Hello Peter

I have a top up contract with MTN which expired on Saturday the 4th of July. I've been calling them advising them that I want to cancel/close this contract and migrated to prepaid. The only thing that they told me is that the account can't be closed because it still has an outstanding balance of R417. Amazingly I paid R550 into their bank account and was not allocated to my account. I even sent a proof of that payment to Lesego.

May you please help me to sort this out as I want to see it closed and my status been updated at all the credit bureaus.
Thank you for your post.

I have since paid the outstanding amount due but my status at the credit bureaus still shows that the account is PAID UP not CLOSED. Can I have a closure letter for this account and be updated as CLOSED at all the credit bureaus from the date I paid it in full.
