Cancellation of expired contract

My contract had expired (lapsed) on 17 October 2015. I called on 24 October and informed that I am cancelling the contract. I was asked why? and I said I'm going over to Telkom Mobile. I called in twice on the day and the second time informed that the number must not be migrated so I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE. I realized that a payment was deducted at the end of October. I called again on November 6 and spoke to Yosuf who assured me that he will make sure it is cancelled at I will be refunded as I cancelled before the 26th of October (closing date). I called again on 9 Nov and realized my account was loaded with airtime? Every time I spoke to MTN I'm asked if I am keeping my number????? I received emails asking the same thing twice by the same person Nomshato Nthupi MTN Retentions. It seems as if there is no communication at MTN. I have not used the number since beginning of November except to test if it's still active. Why is it so difficult to terminate a contract that have expired (lapsed) This is the very reason I am leaving MTN so please don't ask me again. Please refund me the payment taken from my account last month. <br>
