Cancellation form gives you an upgrade!

In February 2017 i went to the Chilli Lane MTN Branch to pay my outstanding balance and cancelled my data contract of R200 for number ********** 741 with the REQ: ********** . (Receipt Number PMT ********** )

Two days later I received a SMS informing me that i have been upgraded to a phone contract for R800.

I went back to the Chilli Lane MTN Brach to ask what is going on, because this is **********. The assistant Rapula Seema wasn’t very helpful and gave me the ***** help line as well as the customer care number.

I called customer care and they did not want to cancel the contract. I highlighted to them that I don’t have the time in my schedule and refuse to pay for MTN's mistake. They asked that i went to the police station to get an affidavit with the proof of cancellation and send it through.

I sent through the affidavit and copy of cancellation form; however the debit order went through. I had to go to the bank and stop the debit order with the proof of MTN's ***** upgrade.

Quickly after that the contract was stopped, with no reason or apology on the ********** upgrade; only an quotation for the second months outstanding balance.

Therefore I write this: "I will not pay for MTN's ********** upgrade."

I would actually like to be refunded for the first debit order that was deducted without my consent.

Please sort this out
