Cancel MTN Contract

I took up a contract at iStore at Cresta mall on the 9th January 2024 however there was an error made where the incorrect phone was selected for the contract. The iStore confirmed that they do not have access to cancel and amend the contract and logged a request with MTN to cancel or correct the contract.

I called MTN and they advised that they have a 7 day cooling period on contracts and I will be able to cancel the contract within 7 days but they are refusing to assist me with the cancellation since the contract was done at the iStore.

The correction request logged by iStore to MTN has not been actioned and I am worried the cooling period will lapse. When I call MTN I am being sent from pillar to post with no resolution.
