Can someone at Mtn sort out mt phone please??

I upgraded late 2016 after being fooled into believing Windows 8.1 would no longer function from Dec 2016. (It still does). The upgrade is not what was published on the Windows site for the Lumia 950XL. I had to return to the store in PE to get a Nano SIM..they were too busy to realise the new phone needed that. And then charge me for it too? The issue was a 2015 model, known to have many problems-check google or GSMArena. The phone has been in for the 3rd time-right this moment-each time for a min of 2 weeks! 2nd time they did a "softswap"..did not help. Now the reply from the ever so inefficient Customer Care and HVRC is that the device is "with the manufacturer for high level assessment and repair". I am truly tired of this same old same old story..my debit order has never once in over 18 years bounced...Mtn has the business...now can someone take and make the effort to get my phone sorted out please? 2 weeks in Dec 2016 and 2 weeks in Jan 2017 and now again 2 weeks...NOT ON!! please show that you are not a faceless organisation...the impression i sadly get. CTDI have been very helpful. B2X probably considers themselves too high up the rung to bother...I hope other possible subscribers take note of this total lack of consideration.

Hi again Itumeleng,

I can confirm I received the device last Friday, after being in touch with CTDI personally (no one from MTN PE advised me it was here).

I am experiencing the exact same problems-battery charges to 100%, then drains even though all background apps are switched off, other essentials like Outlook mail and messaging, and WhatsApp. Maximum two messages are rep**** to in very brief form, and by 10.30 the battery is at 68%, which will not see through a dfay unless operated in permanent Battery Saver mode. I cannot do this as the device is my sole business tool effectively.

I have emailed the kind gentleman at CTDI to advise him hereof.

I sincerely would be grateful for some real, topline treatment now to sort this as i foresee already another two week period of being without the phone, whilst it is sent from MTN PE to JNB..the fourth time this will be in total. The device is still under warranty. Please assist??

Thank you!

Itumeleng, I have advised the kind man at CTDI of the battery drain issue this morning. He responded that he relies on info from B2X for the 950XL, as all data is fed to them in JNB. He further suggests that with them having changed the software and the battery on this device, i should speak with the service provider. now, can you please tell me whom i can speak with in Port Elizabeth, as no one seems to know at MTN. This is beyond frustrating now. Would like to resolve asap, your help will be appreciated!

Kind regards

Hellooooo......are you there????

When you find some spare time, please would you be so kind and let me have a name and number for a person-with a face-in PE with whom I can discuss the nightnare I am experiencing?

Thank you, as i have wasted a day trying to get anywhere at various MTN entities in PE today...

Hello again,

I confirm that-on suggestion from b2x, the device has been returned to the MTN Walk In centre in PE. I have yet to hear anything and hope this can be resolved really fast as i am most inconvenienced at present, and have been throughout the 5.5 months i had this device.

Hello...is there anybody out there??

I took the device in-as instructed-to the walk-in centre PE on Tuesday last week...it was "booked in" after they called the repairer in JNB and Microsoft's agent...the device is declared an OBF....would be really nice to hear or see just ONE reply to show someone is actually doing something about this.

Should it really be necessary for be to stop my debit order in order to grab just a little attention from this faceless organisation? Hopefully not.. I am inconvenienced..

So, just for records, nothing was done at all by MTN to assist. Today I contacted the Microsoft agent in JNB and he was kind enough to chase the Reg Mgr at MTN, resulting an eventual authorisation number being phoned through to me. And of course, at the branch where the original was taken from...."we don't have any stock. Will let you know when we do have'"...

Thanks for nothing Itumeleng...nothing at all....now go back to sleep, you may.

And it is the 28th March today...two weeks since the "authorisation number" was presented to Walker Drive MTN for a replacement phone....and not one advice...."still waiting for stocks", i am told....so all in all i have not had the phone for 6 weeks of 'repairs", and three weeks of it being "warranty assessed and approved for replacement"...and "sorry for the inconvenience" no longer has the same meaning....expect this when dealing with the likes of these companies..
